About Me

I’m an artist living and working in the Forest of Dean, where the landscape, plants, and changing seasons are a constant source of inspiration. My work is rooted in a love of colour, shape, and the feeling of being in a place, rather than painting nature in a strictly realistic way.

I trained in Fine Art, first completing a BTEC National Diploma in General Art and Design at Somerset College of Art and Technology, followed by a BA (Hons) Arts and Humanities (Fine Art) at De Montfort University, Leicester. After graduating, I spent many years working in the retail industry, using my creative skills in visual merchandising and window displays.

Over time, I realised how much I missed painting and being in the studio. After some big life changes, my husband Chris and I moved to the Forest of Dean — a decision that allowed me to return fully to my art practice.

I work mainly in oil and acrylic, often using sprayed paint to encourage movement, texture, and interaction across the surface. My paintings explore the spaces between lines and forms, guided by emotional responses to the landscape rather than exact representation.

In 2025, I took part in an Artist Residency at Brison Veor in Cape Cornwall, and also worked alongside the Dean Heritage Centre on the project Inspired by the Forest, which will be shown across Gloucestershire.

I’m an active member of farOpen, hArt, and Forest Markets 2026, and I value working alongside other artists and supporting creative communities. Follow the links for more information on my 2026 events.
